It speaks for itself.
Things get nasty but it does pass and you do find your way to more settled times.
Just keep reminding yourself that it is not forever.

In our goal to achieve as much as possible we often don't leave the starting gate. Instead of doing nothing because it won't help 100 just help 1. One will pay it forward and so the ripples will be felt. We will rarely be in a position to help 100 or even 10 but we can always help just one. So do WHAT you can, WITH what you have, WHERE you are. It makes a difference. I promise. We can all only do the best we can with what we have in that moment. Hindsight is of course always 20/20 but you don't have that benefit in the present so don't beat yourself up. Trust your instincts. Accept falling down may be a possibility and just keep taking the steps necessary to bring you closer to your goal. If you fall, get up. We are human. We will make mistakes. We will fail. We just need to stop being so hard on ourselves when we do. Accept the good and the bad and know it will all balance out eventually. And breathe... stop, take 3 breaths, still your mind and open your heart... and get up and carry on knowing you are perfect in your imperfection. A true part of mindfulness is letting go of past hurts. If we constantly find ourselves circling back to the same hurt and reliving the same pain then we are not truly living in the present. We all need to find a way to tell our story so that we can move forward. Yes it could well take years - it did for me. It is neither a quick fix or an easy task but it certainly is a worthwhile endeavour. Who you choose to share the story with will also have a part in your healing as what you perceive to be a supportive friend could just be a gossip junkie revelling in your pain. So choose wisely and follow your gut. But once you do get to that point that telling your story, or even just thinking about it, no longer consumes or controls you then you have reached a point of healing which opens up a whole new world of possibilities to you as you start a new journey firmly rooted in the present. Learn and grow from your past but find a way to move into the present where you belong. |
Love Always
You reach a point of accepting that you made mistakes,
they cost you dearly and that you can't change the past. At that point you stop raging against your history, accept it, and move forward into a calmer, less self destructive frame of mind. Archives
