- Good books to read
- Resolution on some issues so that decisions can now be made.
- The friends I am blessed with
- Rest during what has been a busy week
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful weekend.
Today is Celebrate the Small Things Friday. Hosted by Lexa Cain, L.G. Keltner of Writing Off the Edge, and Tonja Drecker of Kidbits, Celebrate the Small Things is a time when we all take a moment to celebrate something good from our week. It can be small, it can be big, just something to look back on the week and celebrate!
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful weekend. To be part of this blog hop, all you have to do is put your name on the linky list on Lexa’s Blog, and then post every Friday about something you’re grateful for that week. It can be about writing or family or school or general life. This is the funnest and easiest blog hop ever! (Originated by VikLit)

"Trust is choosing to making something important to you vulnerable to the actions of others." Charles Feltman 2015 MUSIC
Sometimes in life we are forced into hibernation through circumstances beyond our control. A lot of my year has been self-imposed hibernation from usual activities. I've been selective over who I spend time with, what I spend time doing and as a result I've grown to appreciate who and what is truly important to me and I'm a far stronger person going out of 2015 than I was coming in. Hibernate when you need to - your soul will thank you. M I N D F U L In the wake of Paris the above needs to become a way of life! There have been to many articles posted online which misrepresents, misinforms and breeds distrust and hatred between people based only on religion and skin colour.
For me that was why being intelligently informed this year meant letting go of past habits of reading all the papers, trawling the internet for more information and watching the news on TV in an ongoing rotation if something was happening. This year I elected to switch off the TV. Avoided newspapers except for the very occasional Sunday paper and skimming headlines. Stopped checking 24 hour news sites and most especially stayed away from inflaming sites on Facebook. All part of my healing process. I still keep up with what is happening in the world, but I've learnt to not allow it to consume me and that has been one of my biggest steps forward on my mindful journey throughout 2015 and one I will certainly continue into the years to come. |
Love Always
You reach a point of accepting that you made mistakes,
they cost you dearly and that you can't change the past. At that point you stop raging against your history, accept it, and move forward into a calmer, less self destructive frame of mind. Archives
