For me that was why being intelligently informed this year meant letting go of past habits of reading all the papers, trawling the internet for more information and watching the news on TV in an ongoing rotation if something was happening. This year I elected to switch off the TV. Avoided newspapers except for the very occasional Sunday paper and skimming headlines. Stopped checking 24 hour news sites and most especially stayed away from inflaming sites on Facebook.
All part of my healing process.
I still keep up with what is happening in the world, but I've learnt to not allow it to consume me and that has been one of my biggest steps forward on my mindful journey throughout 2015 and one I will certainly continue into the years to come.
