I N F I N I T Y
I think we all forget that life is finite. That it will end one day. Maybe we will live our full 3 score and ten years, perhaps a bit more, perhaps a lot less. But it will end. Nothing is infinite - not even love.
But we don't have to live for 70 years to have full and rewarding lives or leave behind a legacy. Vincent van Gogh may not have had fame and fortune in his lifetime and he was barely over the halfway mark when he died but he left a treasure trove of art for the world. Why - be he loved the life he lived and he lived the life he loved. It may have been in poverty but he was painting - he followed his passion.
How many of us are merely surviving to pay the bills?
It is so true when they say humans are the only species that PAY to live on this planet. I wonder if future generations will be able to fix it or if the planet is doomed to a very definite end.... after billions of years of survival it has taken mankind around 250 years to bring the planet to its knees since the start of the Industrial Revolution....
I'm on a journey to love the life I live. As I do that I'm tossing out what no longer fits. Whether I live 3 score 10, or die in the next week I want to some peace of knowing that ultimately I was going to live a life I wanted - not a life dictated by the greediness of human nature.
I will continue with my mindful quest. I know I am on the right path for me. Nothing in this life is easy but we don't need to make it complicated either. We only here once.
Tomorrow is not guaranteed to any of us so find what you love and follow it.
Live it, breathe it and be it.
"One day you'll leave this world behind
So live a life you will remember."
So live a life you will remember."
